Taxilandia is a taxi ride that is a multi-city, hyperlocal journey through gentrification - a decolonial franchise. We come to your city and lead a process for telling histories of a neighborhood confronting social stigmas and the realities of gentrification in poetic and visual ways, resulting in fun, compelling, and hyperlocal experiences, directed by Flako Jimenez.
Rides can be reserved either on your time or for select show times. Think of Taxliandia as your premium ride around the neighborhood with a true member of that community.
Why this experience?
This taxi ride allows you to experience a neighborhood in a way that allows you to integrate yourself with the community. The poet shows riders the true history and the impact of gentrification on the place they grow up in.
